It can be used with and without tubes, it's light enough for the professional cross-country circuit and will hold up to rugged backcountry descents. The disc-specific rims (no braking surface) are welded for toughness and the rear wheel features Bontrager's unique OSB technology to withstand braking and lateral forces. The Swiss hubs have smooth-rolling bearings and feature Shimano Center Lock disc-brake mounts, too.
The Swiss hubs are fully serviceable and feature cartridge and needle bearings.
Bontrager's HiLo rear hub offers excellent spoke bracing angles for superior lateral wheel stiffness.
For easy repairs, these wheels accept standard replacement spokes.
The rear wheel's Offset Spoke Bed ensures that the spokes are evenly tensioned, which increases wheel strength and reliability significantly.
